Therapy Services
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma that helps reprocess distressing memories using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements. It reduces emotional intensity and allows the brain to integrate traumatic experiences adaptively, making it highly effective for PTSD, anxiety, and related conditions.
CBT
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. By challenging distorted thinking and developing healthier coping strategies, CBT reduces symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. It is structured, goal-oriented, and highly effective for a wide range of psychological concerns.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a guided relaxation technique that helps clients process trauma, reduce stress, and enhance mindfulness. Niki integrates it with other modalities to support deeper healing, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.
Insurance does not cover hypnotherapy as a standalone treatment, but it is available as part of an integrated therapy plan. For clients seeking standalone hypnotherapy, cash-pay options are offered.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is a trauma-focused approach that helps people reframe their experiences by externalizing problems and reshaping their personal stories. This process reduces distress, fosters resilience, and empowers individuals to reclaim control over their lives.
Shadow/Depth (Jungian)
Shadow work is a therapeutic approach that helps people explore and integrate the hidden, suppressed, or rejected aspects of themselves often referred to as the shadow. Rooted in Carl Jungs psychological theories, it involves bringing unconscious thoughts, emotions, and patterns into conscious awareness. By confronting these hidden parts with curiosity and self compassion, people can heal unresolved wounds, reduce self sabotaging behaviors, and foster greater self-acceptance. Shadow work is particularly useful in trauma therapy as it helps people process buried emotions and break free from limiting beliefs

More about Niki
Healing is both an art and a journey, and for me, that journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about people and their stories, struggles, and resilience. I’ve lived in the Colorado Springs area since 1976, watching the city grow and change, just as I’ve grown and changed through my own experiences.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a fraud investigator, uncovering hidden truths. That same drive for understanding led me to an education in Communication and Psychology, and then a master’s degree in social work and the therapeutic space, where I found my true calling; helping people heal. I was drawn to trauma work because I saw how deeply past wounds shape the present, yet I also witnessed the incredible strength people have to heal when given the right support. Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of environments with diverse populations: child welfare, homeless communities, LGBTQ+ youth and adults, youth and adults in corrections, medical and oncology, and those navigating the state mental health system in the hospital setting. Each experience deepened my belief in the power of connection and the importance of feeling truly seen and heard.
My practice is a space where all are welcome regardless of background, identity, or beliefs. Healing happens in an environment of safety and acceptance, and I am committed to making sure every person who walks through my door feels valued and respected.
I integrate trauma therapies with mindfulness, hypnotherapy, and deep self-exploration to help people reclaim their stories and step into their power. I enjoy working through dream analysis, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and trauma modalities. Therapy is not about “fixing” but creating space for healing, growth, and self-acceptance.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about my family, my pets (two dogs and a cat), and my plants all of which bring joy and balance to my World. Mental health isn’t just my profession; it’s woven into everything I do.
Your story matters. Your healing matters. And I’m here to walk alongside you on that journey.
